Merkel and Greece

During Angela Merkel's recent visit to Greece, protestors against Ms. Merkel numbered in the thousands. According to one woman, Ms. Merkel is"one of the main reasons that Greece's low income and the working classes of Greece are under attack." A common opinion seems to be that her visit is more about keeping up appearances and attempting to maintain control over the Grecian economy than it is about genuinely helping the country. Some are even going to far as to call the relationship between Greece and Germany the "Fourth Reich," uncomfortably drawing parallels where most wouldn't see them. Germany has been the leading contributor of Greece's bailout money, and the government's continued willingness to cut massive amounts of money form the budget is unsettling to most citizens, to say the least.

  1. I see your point Steph, I don't really know why people in Greece play the name game with their debt. They must feel like they need closure and I also think that they should stop lashing out on each other and figure this out like the adults they are. They should honestly stop trying to blame people and solve the issue before it gets really out of hand.
