On Monday, Gaza Militants fired a series of rockets, and mortar shells into Israeli territory. As a result of the violent outburst, Israeli warplanes responded by launching an airstrike on Hamas missile groups, the "armed wings" destroying several militant facilities and inuring nine Palestinians. Between attacks, the tension between Israel and its bordering Islamic countries has kept a steady amount of violence between the two people. The leader of the Hamas militant group the "Armed Wings" said, “the Palestinian resistance will not allow unilateral aggression” from Israel. After nuclear threats from Palestine build, Israel's military recuperation has included air strikes on bombarding militant groups around the small Jewish county. Relating to class, as we learn about ethnocentrism around the world, I see that the Palestinians as well as the other bordering countries like Syria, and Jordan constantly post threats against the dominantly Jewish Israeli population. We learned that with Israel being a fairly new country that the other Islamic cultures surrounding Israel are discriminating and being intolerant of the Israeli's culture, religion, and race. Unfortunately as tensions build and threats continue to increase, Palestine has resulted in violence along with many other Middle Eastern countries. As nuclear threats coming from Palestine build, the tension between the two countries becomes more and more fragile. I have observed that this is an issue of tolerance, as simple as it sounds I believe that the neighboring countries should tolerate the Israeli people, and viceversa. Obviously this is easier said than done, however, I believe that violence can more easily be avoided than not. It is very hard to predict how such a long standing issue will resolve, but I as an American jew, can only hope that tensions between such militarily powerful countries can resolve in a pact or agreement limiting the violence, or a least nuclear violence between the two hostile counties.
