‘Time Is Not Unlimited,’ Obama Warns Iran at U.N.

Obama is planning to tell the Untied Nations General Assembly that time is running out for the Iranian nuclear crisis. He claims that there is still some time, but "time is not unlimited." He also brings up that "a nuclear-armed Iran is not a challenge that can be contained. It would threaten the elimination of Israel, the security of gulf nations, and the stability of the global economy. And that is why the United States will do what we must to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon." The Prime Minister of Israel has been trying to get the White House to move the red line, preventing Iran from even laying their hands on nuclear capability, but so far has been rejected. "There are no words that excuse the killing of innocents," Obama states, and continues on that road.
It doesn't really seem like the smartest idea to me that Obama is starting this all right before election times, because anything he says or does right now really influences if he will stay in office, or if Romney takes on the situation that Obama leaves him to deal with. I also think that if Obama decides to deal with the situation, he should deal with it quickly and focus on other matters, because this otherwise seems like its going to get worse faster.

  1. I disagree with your statment about it not being a smart idea. Both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama have stated that they would do as much as they can to prevent Iran from obtaining a neuclear weapon. I do however believe that if he were to start imposing long term actions coming up torwards election day, then that would be a bad idea however he stated his oppinion to the United Nations that is the exact same so which ever presidential candidate gets into office will take over this crisis and act similarly.
