Mitt Romney recently asked voters if they truly were better off now as appose to four years ago, when President Obama took office. People of the nation have different responses for this question, as citizens who live in the Rust Belt area seem to be having a boost in the economy. For example, in Elkhart-Goshen, Indiana the unemployment rate has decreased by 8.1% in the past four years, going from 17.2% to 9.1%. Although there were areas with great decreases in unemployment rates, other places have been increasing in such matters. For instance, Yuma, Arizona has gone up 6% in the past four years, going from 21.1% to 27.1%. I believe that this is going to be a major factor when the election occurs, as I think that Obama will receive more votes from the areas with decreased unemployment votes, and Romney will probably receive more votes from areas such a Yuma, Arizona.
