Autonomous cars

         The idea of autonomous cars has been slowly slipping in around us. Ford motor company already has there small version known as park assist. These innovations might sound far fetched but, they are already on our doorstep because google cars has already succesfully drove there autonomous car in Shanghai, and companys such as Audi, and GM are already working on autonomous cars. This sound great, but what will happen to racing? Racing if one of americas most prominent sports with many series, Nascar, Formula drift, World of Outlaws and so many more. With the introduction of autonomous cars, there will be less tuning and upgrading because you dont drive it. It will be the demise of an industry filled with giants like, Cherry Bomb Mufflers, Rock Auto, Heartthrob Exhaust, Carolina driveshaft, Speedway Motors, Original Parts Group, and Classic Industrys. As these huge industrys fall, the car guy will start to fade. This is sad because we could be looking into the end of the tuner car era. This might be the end of gearheads forever. So in my oppinion, we should not turn all cars autonomous, because we would lose the fun of driving and we would drop many of the biggest industrys and we would lose our entertainment.
